CBOT corn prices continued to go down last week

In the reporting week (May 4-11), CBOT corn prices continued to go down (-1.58%). In the spot market, the US corn prices lost on average USD 4/MT, taking into account the transition to a new supply month, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The pressure was provided by the recent forecasts of weather improvement, which will allow farmers to continue sowing.

On the other hand, the May USDA WASDE report supported the market. In the recent report, the USDA experts reduced the estimate of corn ending stocks in the USA to 2.295 billion bushels in the current season, and to 2.11 billion bushels in the next season.
