CBOT corn prices continued to grow last week

During the reporting week (February 22 - March 01), CBOT corn prices continued to grow (+3.27%), reports UkrAgroConsult.

The US corn spot export prices added USD 13/MT FOB, while Argentinean corn supply quotations strengthened by USD 10/MT (March delivery).

Prices fluctuated against the backdrop of increased farm sales and logistics problems in the USA, due to rising water levels in rivers.

Over the week (February 15-22), the US corn contracting volume increased 13% to 1753 KMT. High demand for the US corn was maintained by South Korean processers. Export rates already exceed the volumes forecasted by the USDA for the current season, which may contribute to an increase in export forecast in the March USDA report.
