CBOT wheat futures declined for the third consecutive week

During March 15-22, CBOT wheat prices decreased 4.81%. The futures declined for the third consecutive week, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The US wheat spot prices lost USD 9/MT FOB. French wheat supply prices dropped by USD 3/MT (April delivery).

The pressure was still exerted by the weather factor – rains in the southern part of the Plains. On Monday, a storm of snow and rain was seen in some regions of the US Wheat Belt, contributing to moisture accumulation in fields of winter wheat, which comes out of the winter dormancy stage.

The data on US wheat weekly contracting (March 08-15) will be published with a delay due to weather conditions, but expectations of market participants were at the previous week’s level – within the range of only 100-300 KMT (162.8 KMT over March 01-08).
