CBOT wheat futures lost 2% last week

During May 11-18, CBOT wheat futures lost 1.85%. In the spot market, the US wheat supply prices decreased on average USD 3/MT (June delivery), while French wheat prices lost USD 2/MT, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The market was still influenced by the USDA forecast of high global wheat ending stocks in the 2017/18 season, which was published in May WASDE report. Rains in French producing regions reduced concerns of market operators about the future wheat production in the country. In the next several days meteorologists also forecasted rains, which could have a positive impact on crop conditions.
