CBOT wheat prices continued to grow last week
CBOT wheat prices continued to grow (+2.86%) over the period under review (April 6-13), reports UkrAgroConsult.
The futures growth in Chicago was provided by technical factors, as well as information on dry and excessively warm weather in France and some other countries of Western Europe, which affected winter wheat. Moreover, high wheat exports from the USA continued to support prices.
A more significant price increase was limited by the data on winter wheat conditions in the USA after the previous week’s rains. Crops were in good and excellent condition on 53% of the planted area (51% last week), which was only slightly less than last year. Spring wheat sowing was slower than the five-year average (5% vs 11%).
