CBOT wheat prices lost 1.58%


During the reporting week (September 22-29) CBOT wheat prices lost 1.58%, reports UkrAgroConsult. Price reduction drivers include the following:

  • Rains in the main wheat producing regions of the USA and Black Sea countries replenished soil moisture reserves and had a positive impact on winter wheat development. Forecasted dry weather in both USA and Black Sea countries will be favorable for sowing pace increase.
  • Expectations for Friday's publication of a quarterly grain stocks report in the USA. Market experts expected an increase in wheat stocks estimates to the highest level since 2010 (as of September 01).
