CBOT wheat prices lost 3.56%

During February 16-23, CBOT wheat prices lost 3.56%, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The further price reduction was prevented by the new USDA estimate of the US wheat planted area for the 2017 crop. USDA experts expect that the area will be reduced to the lowest level since 1919 to 46 million acres (50.2 million acres in the current season).

Only wheat of French origin decreased in price in the spot market amid stronger Euro. Black Sea wheat prices increased, while US wheat prices remained unchanged.
