China helped Kazakhstan bring vegoil exports to a record level

According to the Customs Control Committee of the Finance Ministry of Kazakhstan, Kazakh vegoil exports reached a record 15.8 KMT in December 2017. The total volume increased due to maximum monthly shipments of sunseed and linseed oils: 6.4 KMT and 3.2 KMT, respectively.

Over 80% of December’s vegoil exports from Kazakhstan went to the key importers. So, 8.5 KMT (roughly 54%) was shipped to China and 4.4 KMT (28%) to Uzbekistan.

In December, China not only remained the top sunoil buyer, which absorbed 4.1 KMT of the product (63% of its total exports), but it was also the only buyer of linseed and rapeseed oils.

Kazakhstan shipped abroad a total 106.3 KMT of vegoils in 2017, or almost twice as much as in the previous year (54.3 KMT). More than 54% (57.6 KMT) of last year’s vegoil exports went to China, reports UkrAgroConsult.
