China keeps investing in processing of Kazakh agricultural raw materials


Under a joint project between Kazakhstan’s BioGrain and China’s China Marine Bunker, it is planned to begin the construction of an agricultural hub for deep processing of cereals and oilseeds in Kostanay region of Kazakhstan in April-May 2019, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The estimated cost of the investment project is USD 300 Ml. It is planned to purchase raw materials from local growers: 600 KMT of 3rd class grain, 750 KMT of 4th and 5th class grain, and 120 KMT of oilseeds.

It is also projected to build an elevator with a grain storage capacity of up to 600 KMT and a flour-milling facility with a capacity of 600 KMT. 

All the finished products will be exported to China.
