A new oilseed crushing facility of LLC Taiynsha-May has recently started operating in the Kazakh village of Ilichevka, Amadyk village district.  The project is being implemented jointly with Chinese investors, reports UkrAgroConsult. The plant’s design capacity will be 300 KMT of oilseeds a year. The facility is aimed at making products for export.

UkrAgroConsult notes that Kazakh sunoil exports to China increased over the past three seasons, from 1.3 KMT in MY 2013/14 to 9.3 KMT in MY 2015/16, and they already totaled as much as 1.4 KMT in the first two months of MY 2016/17 (September-October).

Noteworthy, it is not the first time when China shows interest in Kazakhstan’s agricultural sector and invests in the country’s processing facilities.
