China to open market for French pork and beef


China has committed to deliver the results of the last audits in November 2015 and to grant approvals before the end of this year to compliant French pork companies. Meanwhile, China has committed to expedite the process of effective market opening for French beef, based on the lifting of the BSE embargo in March 2017.

These are consensus reached during the 5th China-France High Level Economic and Financial Dialogue on December 1, 2017 in Beijing, according to China’s Ministry of Finance. Both sides also agreed to make French products available to Chinese operators in the feed market.
