Cooperation between Ukraine and Hungary should reach a new level

The Government will continue to create favorable conditions for business in Ukraine and to expand the possibilities of cooperation with Hungary to contribute to the success of both countries. This was stated by Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during the opening of Ukrainian-Hungarian business forum with participation of Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban in Debrecen on Friday.

"We are interested in success of business that comes to work in Ukraine. This is the main goal. We want you to be successful, to be successful your investments. It will mean that Ukraine will continue to develop," the Head of the Government said, addressing the representatives of the Hungarian business.

Ukraine and Hungary have good prospects for cooperation in various spheres, the Prime Minister stressed. He added that over the past 9 months there has been an increase in bilateral international trade.

Volodymyr Groysman emphasized that Ukraine and Hungary have sufficient competence, knowledge and capabilities, and bringing them together the countries can become even more successful. The opening of the Ukrainian-Hungarian business forum is one of the biggest meetings of business circles of both countries.

He noted that following the meeting with Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban agreements were signed yesterday on "infrastructure convergence" of the countries and the implementation of a number of projects for the construction of roads, bridges and development of border areas.

It was also agreed to create a group and a clear calendar plan of action for the implementation of projects.

Volodymyr Groysman noted that for the last three years Ukraine has faced with serious challenges and "it going through the greatest transformation in the history of its independence". However, Ukraine is changing and reforming".

The Government continues to carry out the necessary changes, and one of its main tasks is to provide convenient conditions for business development in Ukraine. Thus the Office for Accompanying Investment was created. At the last meeting, the Government abolished 367 regulations that hindered business development. Today the Ukrainian economy is showing growth and recovery: for the III quarter of 2016, the country's GDP grew by 1.8%.

"I want to assure you that we will go further. We will protect the real economy, we will protect those who work in it, and we will create normal conditions in order you to be successful. You will be successful – Ukraine will be successful so Hungary will be successful" Volodymyr Groysman said.

By turn, Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban during a speech at the business forum stressed the prospects of bilateral cooperation of Ukraine and Hungary.

"I want to inspire Ukrainian and Hungarian entrepreneurs so they make attempts and looking for partners to develop their business and implement their ideas", the Head of the Hungarian Government said.
