Corn harvest in Ukraine is gaining momentum

As of October 09, farmers harvested corn from 1307 Th ha (1377 Th ha in the same period in 2016). They got 5548 KMT (7493 KMT) with an average yield of 4.25 MT/ha (5.44 MT/ha), reports UkrAgroConsult.

Also, farmers continue harvesting buckwheat and millet. As of October 09, buckwheat was harvested from 150 Th ha (82% of the plan) with a crop of 168 KMT and an average yield of 1.12 MT/ha. It was harvested from 142 Th ha at the same time last year, with a crop of 181 KMT and a yield of 1.27 MT/ha. Simultaneously, growers harvested millet from 51 Th ha (91%) with a 74 KMT crop and a 1.45 MT/ha average yield. In 2016, 183 KMT was harvested from 100 Th ha with a yield of 1.83 MT/ha.

In total, cereals and pulses were harvested from 11.25 Ml ha with a crop of 43.46 MMT and an average yield of 3.86 MT/ha (46.35 MMT and 4.08 MT/ha, respectively, in 2016).
