Corn planting approaches the end in Brazilian state of Paraná

Corn planting in the Brazilian state of Paraná, the second largest producer of the cereal in the country, has reached 99 percent of the surface. That is the first of two crops that are typically planted in the state (the first harvested in the summer, the second in the winter).

According to local sources, 87 percent of the already planted corn is under vegetative stage, which is good news for production volumes.
