Corn planting finishes in Argentina and production would beat record

Corn planting has finished in the last few days in Argentina and the new estimate for output of the cereal is 37 million metric tons, a new record, according to the Buenos Aires Cereal Exchange.

The volume would be 23 percent higher than the previous crop, which was 30 million metric tons. There was a recovery from the floods of previous week, but still the crop output is far away from its full potential. The planted surface was 30 percent higher than last season.
