Corn stocks in Russia steeply decreased


According to the Russian statistics, farming, procuring and processing entities held 32 MMT of grain as of March 1, 2017, or 14% more than at the same time last year, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Wheat stocks at procuring and processing entities are 17.5% higher than last year (10.6 MMT, including 7.48 MMT of milling wheat – up 8.8% from last year). Barley stocks increased as much as 12.5% to 1512 KMT, with rye up 12.1% at 471 KMT, buckwheat up 58% at 79 KMT.

Corn stocks are 25% lower than last year, at 1450 KMT. In addition, rice and oat reserves slumped by 8.3% and 1.5% to 110 KMT and 130 KMT, respectively.
