CP Indonesia exports poultry products

Charoen Pokphand (CP) Indonesia has responded to the challenge from the central government to not only focus on the domestic market but also to export. Last week, the largest poultry integrator in Indonesia celebrated shipments to Timor Leste, Japan and Papua New Guinea (PNG). According to official data received by Asian Agribiz, the company exported 120 tonnes of poultry feed, 6.89 tonnes of food products and 5000 DOC to Timor Leste. To Japan, the company only exported 6.69 tonnes of food products.

Meanwhile to PNG, the company exported 8.58 tonnes of food products and this was the fourth shipment. Thomas Effendy, President Director, said the exports were aimed to stabilise the production and price of poultry in Indonesia. “The export to PNG was the fourth shipment after the first shipment was made in March last year. Meanwhile, the exports of food products to Japan and Timor Leste were prime shipments,” he said.
