Crimea: grain exports despite sanctions

Despite international sanctions and various constraints, foreign vessels continue to enter the Crimea to carry out foreign trade operations, including grain exports. This situation is likely to continue in future.

Export geography analysis shows that more than half of grain shipments from Crimea go to Russia, and most likely this grain is further arranged as exports to other destinations. However, a large share of Crimean grain is exported to such countries as Algeria, Cyprus, Egypt, Israel, Lebanon and Libya.
