Delta Wilmar to construct transshipment and processing facilities in Yuzhny port

The Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA) and Delta Wilmar CIS signed amendments to the Memorandum and identified priority measures for the implementation of the next project of public-private partnership in the port of Yuzhny (Odesa region).

Under the agreement terms, private investors will build a new berth (No. 37), soybean processing plant, storage and transshipment facilities for liquid and bulk agricultural cargo.

In turn, the state enterprise will conduct dredging works to form the operational water area and the approach channel to the new berth.

The next step in the implementation of the project will be the conclusion of an agreement between USPA and Delta Wilmar CIS, which will regulate the obligations of each party, as well as the deadlines for completing the work at each of the stages.

The new plant for processing soybeans will have a capacity of up to 2 thou. tons per day, and a 40 thou. tons terminal for the accumulation and storage of grain and meal.

As previously reported, USPA completed the largest dredging project over the past 11 years in the port of Izmail (Odesa region).
