During the reporting week (July 13-20), CBOT wheat prices gained 2.06%.


Last week active winter wheat harvesting in the USA appeared to be the main bearish driver in Chicago. As far as the harvesting works are moving to the northern part of the country, the quality of soft wheat SRW and hard HRW improves.

At the end of the week, the market was supported by bullish trends in the adjacent soybean and corn markets. According to the USDA, by July 16, the share of spring wheat in good and excellent conditions had reached 34% (-1% over the week). On the same date last year it was 69%.
