EFCO remains Russia’s top sunoil exporter


EFCO Group, the largest holding in Russia’s fat-and-oil market, became the second top sunoil exporter in September-April 2016/17, reports UkrAgroConsult.

In the period under review, EFCO Group exported more than 200 KMT of sunoil, up 87 KMT from the same time last year. Thereby it seized a 17% share in Russia’s total exports of this commodity.

The company says that systematic efforts have been taken over the last few years for expanding Russia’s export potential both in traditional and new end markets. In particular, early in the year, the Group was the first to enter the market of India.

In addition, EFCO is now the only Russian supplier of sunoil to Sudan. Also, the company more than tripled sunoil exports to Iran, to 59 KMT from 19 KMT a year ago. Overall, Russian sunoil exports to Iran in the above-mentioned period amounted to 108 KMT. The company ships its products to more than 50 countries around the world.

Further prospects of the Black Sea oilseeds/vegoils market will be discussed at the V International Conference “Black Sea Oil Trade”, which will take place on September 19, 2017 in Hilton hotel, Kiev, Ukraine.
