Egypt issued a wheat purchase tender again

Today, November 11, GASC will hold a tender to purchase milling wheat for delivery from December 15-25, reports UkrAgroConsult.

As a remainder, 240 KMT of wheat of Romanian and Russian origins for December 10-20 delivery was purchased in the previous tender on November 8. Purchase prices in the latest tender averaged $199.31/MT C&F, or up $6.42 from the previous tender. The rise stems mostly from growth of Black Sea milling wheat FOB prices, on average by $4-6.

Everything suggests the management of Egypt’s state purchase company has decided to import as much wheat as possible before another price upturn.
