Egypt only purchased Ukrainian wheat in a tender


On May 15, Egypt purchased 60 KMT of milling wheat from Ukraine to be delivered on June 15–25, 2018 at an average price of USD 234.95/MT C&F (USD 219.90/MT FOB + USD 15.05/MT freight), reports UkrAgroConsult.

Ukrainian wheat was more price competitive on FOB basis than wheat of Russian and Romanian origin. It was purchased in a GASC tender for the first time since August 2017. 

In the previous tender of March 29, 2018, Egypt bought 475 KMT of milling wheat from Russia and Romania to be delivered on April 28 – May 8, 2018 at an average price of USD 234.57/MT C&F.
