EU and Egypt continue stepping up Ukrainian soybean imports


Soybean exports from Ukraine totaled 425.1 KMT in December 2017, or 18.6% less than in the previous month (522.3 KMT) and down 3.1% from December 2016.

Overall, the country exported 1230.3 KMT of soybeans in September-December 2017/18 (down 2.6% from the same time in MY 2016/17). This is still the second largest volume close to last season’s record of 1262.6 KMT, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The current season continues witnessing an almost double increase in Ukrainian soybean exports to European countries (34% of total exports) and Egypt (14%). In addition, growth is observed in supplies to Turkey (26%) and Belarus (7%).
