EU doubled soybean imports from Ukraine


This year, October’s exports of Ukrainian soybeans jumped to an all-time high of 245.8 KMT. Their shipments were up more than six times against September 2017 and up 24% from October 2016. Overall, a record 282.9 KMT of soybeans were exported in the first two months of MY 2017/18 against 273.2 KMT a year ago, reports UkrAgroConsult.

A significant gain in Ukrainian soybean exports to European countries is observed at the beginning of the season (38% of total exports). The top importers still include countries such as Turkey (29%), Iran (20%), Belarus (7%) and Egypt (5%).
