Europe “tasting” Ukrainian organic soybeans


Arnika, a company specializing in cultivation of organic soybeans, cereals and industrial crops has supplied more than 6.5 KMT of its products to European Union countries, reports UkrAgroConsult. The importers included Germany, which purchased more than 4 KMT of soybeans, wheat and corn, Switzerland (1.5 KMT), and the Netherlands (over 1 KMT).

The organic soybeans are grown on the company’s core farm Granit-Agro. Assessing the prospects for organic product exports in view of increasing European demand, Arnika is planning to expand its acreage of organic soybeans to 5.75 Th ha in 2017 and 11.2 Th ha in 2018.

UkrAgroConsult reminds Arnika Group was founded in 2000. The company’s land bank currently includes 20 Th ha of farm lands.
