Exporters of oil products eyeing the Middle East

Strengthening the export positions on the world market will be a key area for the Russian fat-and-oil sector in the coming years. Which countries will act as major trading partners of the industry will be discussed at the conference fat-and-oil-2018.

In the next 5-6 years, the volume of food exports is expected to grow 2.5 times. Given that the share of oil and fat sector in the total structure of agricultural exports is about 20%, the industry will be forced to increase production volumes and to conquer foreign markets.

Some analysts noted that the export vector is not limited to China and India. Russia will establish relations with Egypt, Iran and Syria. Some see in this series and Turkey. Despite last year's "tomato war", Turkey is among the top three importers of Russian sunflower oil.

Invited expert analyst, Tallage SAS - Strategie Grains (France) Damien Juan, founder of AgriPro (Turkey) Faik genç, General Director of IKAR Dmitry Rylko, Director of the Department of agroindustrial policy of the Eurasian economic Commission Stanislav Tambourine.

In addition, experts believe that Russian producers can be strengthened and European markets, offering high-oleic oil. Besides, the demand for this product is growing annually in the domestic market. About the chances of success in working with high-oleic oil, tell the expert Corteva Argiscience, agricultural division DowDuPont, Richard Burrell during the second technological day of the conference.

In the struggle for the demand for export markets Ukraine remains the main rival of Russia. Last year, the share of the two countries accounted for 80% of the world export of sunflower oil.
