14.02.2017

In the February report the USDA raised its 2016/17 sunseed production forecast for the Black Sea countries to 26,691 KMT (up 455 KMT).  The boost is based on predicted output growth in Ukraine (by 250 KMT to 13,750 KMT) and Kazakhstan (by 205 KMT to 755 KMT), informs UkrAgroConsult.

In addition, the overall soybean crop in the region was increased to 7,499 KMT at the expense of a 280 KMT rise in Ukraine’s production (to 4,280 KMT). The rapeseed production forecast was cut to 2,721 KMT (down 26 KMT): a 20 KMT upturn in Kazakhstan’s harvest (to 170 KMT) will be offset by a 46 KMT drop in Ukrainian production (to 1,154 KMT).
