Feed prices in Vietnam appreciate


The price of animal feed in Vietnam is on the rise due to the increasing cost of raw materials. It is eating into the profits of both livestock growers and feed producers. It is reported that up to 80% of feed companies are forced to raise prices because of the scarcity of raw materials.

Le Trung Thanh – Managing Director of Mavin Ausfeed Nghe An said: “The current price of animal feed is increasing mainly because of the higher cost of imported inputs. According to Reuters, prices of all feed materials have increased, with wheat prices up 0.5%, soybeans up 0.7% and corn up 0.7%.
