Flour exports from Kazakhstan up 13% year-on-year


The pace of Kazakh flour exports lagged behind last year in February 2017. So, Kazakhstan supplied 146.1 KMT of flour to foreign markets that month, or 15% less than in February 2016, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Nevertheless, Kazakh flour exports increased 13% in the first half of the 2016/17 season against the same time in MY 2015/16, or to 1227 KMT against 1088 KMT in September-February a year ago. 

Afghanistan continues to be the top importer of Kazakh flour. In the period under review, Afghanistan purchased more than 830 KMT of flour from Kazakhstan that is up 54% year-on-year.

Kazakh flour exports to the Chinese market also continue at a faster pace.
