Grain exports from Kazakhstan keeping up their record pace


According to preliminary information of JSC Kazakhstan Railways, Kazakhstan exported 830 KMT of grain in January 2018, i.e. the largest volume since 2012.

At the same time, flour exports totaled 270.3 KMT. Thus, Kazakhstan exported 1216.1 KMT of grain, including flour in grain equivalent, in January – this is also the highest figure since May 2012, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Overall, Kazakhstan supplied 4.9 MMT of grain, including flour in grain equivalent, to foreign markets in September-January 2017/18. This is up 26% from the same time last marketing year.

As a reminder, UkrAgroConsult forecasts Kazakhstan’s 2017/18 grain export potential may hit a six-year high.
