Grain harvest in Belarus down 13.8%

According to the National Statistics Committee of Belarus, the country’s farms of all types harvested 7.5 MMT (weight after conditioning) in 2016. The total grain harvest is down 13.8% from last year, reports UkrAgroConsult.

The largest share of this volume (almost 25%, or 1.9 MMT) is on account of Minsk region. The average yield of cereals and pulses in 2016 was 13.7% lower than last year: 3.15 MT/ha against 3.65 MT/ha in 2015.
