Grain stocks in Kazakhstan are up 12% from last year


According to the Statistics Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, farms of all types held 13.12 MMT of cereals and pulses as of February 1, 2017. This is 12.1% more than at the same time last year (11.7 MMT), informs UkrAgroConsult.

Wheat inventories are up 8.4% year-on-year at 10.75 MMT, including 8.73 MMT of milling wheat, 596.1 KMT of feed wheat and 1419.1 KMT of wheat for seed.

As of the same date, barley stocks totaled 1419.9 KMT, or 26.5% more than last year, while corn reserves amounted to 127.1 KMT, those of rice to 239.8 KMT, rye to 28.5 KMT, oats to 200.7 KMT, buckwheat  to 51.2 KMT, and millet to 34.8 KMT.
