
Grain stocks in Russia up 6% from last year
GRAINS. According to some data of the Russian state statistics agency, grain stocks at farming, procurement and processing entities totaled 33.66 MMT as of August 1, 2018, or 5.7% more than on the same date a year ago.
Russian growers hold 16.3 MMT of wheat, or 9.1% more than last year, reports UkrAgroConsult.
Farmer stocks of corn decreased by 36.3%, to 548 KMT.
OILSEEDS. Farmer oilseed inventories in Russia totaled 469.4 KMT as of August 1, 2018, i.e. 28.6 KMT (6.5%) more than at the same time last year (440.8 KMT). In July, oilseed stocks decreased by 66.8 KMT.
Farmer inventories of sunseed totaled 142.3 KMT, i.e. 33.8 KMT (19.2%) less than in the same period last year (176.1 KMT). In July, sunseed stocks fell by 76.3 KMT, reports UkrAgroConsult.
