Grain stocks in Ukraine down 9% from last year


According to the State Statistics Service, 21.86 MMT of cereals and pulses were available in Ukraine as of August 1, 2017, or 8.6% less than at the same time last year (23.93 MMT), reports UkrAgroConsult.

As of the reporting date, wheat stocks were down 11.1% year-on-year at 14.77 MMT against 16.62 MMT as of August 1, 2016. Barley inventories fell by 21.3% against last year, to 3.12 MMT (3.96 MMT in July 2016).

Farmer and miller stocks of corn are up 31.5% year-on-year at 2.14 MMT against 1.63 MMT as of August 1, 2016.
