IMC has completed the harvesting of oilseeds and the sowing of winter

On September 30, the IMC completed the harvesting of soybean, and on October 8, the harvesting of sunflower was completed. The yield of both crops in the IMC exceeds average yields both in Ukraine as a whole and in certain regions of Ukraine where the company carries out its activity.

The soybean harvest, collected from an area of almost 11,000 hectares, amounted to over 25,000 tonnes at an average yield of 2.3 tonnes/ha, which is 28% higher than the average yield of soybean in Ukraine (according to the data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine as of 9 October 2017, the average yield of soybean in Ukraine was 1.8 t/ha).

The yield of sunflower in the IMC this year amounted to 2.9 t/ha, which is one of the highest results for all years of the company's activity and 53% exceeds the average yield of Ukraine (according to the data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine as of 9 October 2017, the average yield of sunflower in Ukraine was 1.9 t/ha). With an area of over 24,000 hectares under sunflower, this year the IMC has harvested over 70,000 tonnes of sunflower.

"In the current year, despite the difficult, and sometimes, such as in Poltava region, extreme weather conditions, with virtually no productive rainfall during the entire period of vegetation, we managed to achieve quite good results for both oilseeds, first and foremost due to timely and qualitative implementation of all operations of the technological map, and also due to the application of only advanced agrotechnological techniques (the use of high quality seeds of foreign selection, a good system of nutrition, application of original plant protection products only)", - commented on the results of soybean and sunflower harvesting Oleksandr Verzhykhovskyi, Chief Operating Officer of the IMC.

Also, the IMC has completed the sowing of winter wheat on an area of 12.7 thousand hectares.

"The sowing of winter wheat was carried out in optimal agrotechnological terms, and the rains of the first decade of October give us the basis to hope for a repetition of the high result in winter wheat in 2018", - added Oleksandr Verzhykhovskyi.
