India got interested in oilseed crushing in Volga regions


The authorities of Moscow region are considering the possibility of founding an enterprise in the region for crushing oilseeds and exporting its products to India, said Moscow region agriculture minister Andrey Razin in an interview to TASS.

“We are discussing with our Indian colleagues an enterprise for production and further processing of oilseeds in order to supply its products to India’s market then,” the minister said.

As a reminder, Russia boosted sunoil exports to India significantly in the 2016/17 season, to 28.2 KMT against 0.2 KMT a year ago. India absorbs some 1.5% of total sunoil exports from Russia.
