India raised vegoil import duties: what are the implications for Ukrainian exporters?


India has raised vegoil import duties to the highest level in a decade. This decision was made in order to support domestic farmers. Under the impact of cheap imports from Indonesia, Malaysia, Brazil, Argentina and slackening demand from crushers for local rapeseed and soybeans, the price decline poses a threat to economic performance of Indian growers.
