India will reduce sunseed import duty to 10%


The Indian government has decided to reduce the duty on sunseed imports to the country to 10% from the current 30%. The new tariff will supposedly be effective from April till September 2017. The relevant document is now awaiting signature, reports UkrAgroConsult.

India is the world’s top importer of vegoils, particularly sunoil.

Ukraine supplied 149.7 KMT of sunseed to foreign markets in the first half of MY 2016/17 (September-February).

Further prospects of the Black Sea oilseeds/vegoils market will be discussed at the V International Conference “Black Sea Oil Trade”, which will take place on September 19, 2017 in Hilton hotel, Kiev, Ukraine.
