India’s beef exports to Vietnam come under scrutiny

24.11.2017

India’s beef exports to Vietnam has come under scrutiny owing to failing standards in the quality of the meat. Though the food safety authority in Vietnam, India’s largest market for buffalo meat, approved just 32 exporters, it has been found that more plants have been exporting beef, flouting regulations.

The government agency Agriculture and Processed Food Products Export has sent a warning to beef exporters informing them that rules are now being strictly imposed.
