Indonesia became major importer of Ukrainian wheat in July


According to official data, in the first month of season 2016/17 Ukraine exported 724.3 KMT of wheat, which is slightly less than last year (769.8 KMT was exported in July 2015).

In July Indonesia became the largest importer of Ukrainian wheat. As a reminder, the country took the 4th place among key importers of Ukrainian wheat in the 2015/16 marketing year with a 10% share (1.74 MMT). In July 2016 the country purchased nearly 206.6 KMT (28.5% of total July wheat exports from Ukraine). The Philippines took 166 KMT or 23%, and Bangladesh - 81.6 KMT (11%).

UkrAgroConsult estimates that in 2016/17 Ukraine will be able to export 15.6 MMT of wheat.
