
Indonesia’s share in Ukrainian palm oil imports hit a ten-year high
Ukraine imported 12.4 KMT of palm oil in February 2017 against 11.6 KMT in January 2017 and 15.2 KMT in February 2016. This season’s palm oil imports (September-February) totaled 98.6 KMT, i.e. they are still 4% ahead of last year, reports UkrAgroConsult.
As a reminder, Indonesia continues holding the top position among palm oil exporters this season. So, the country’s share in imports of this vegoil to Ukraine has increased to 83.2% in MY 2016/17, remaining at a ten-year high. Correspondingly, Malaysia’s market share has shrunk to 15.8%.
In addition, Ukraine imports minor amounts of palm oil from Sweden, Russia, Belgium, the Netherlands and Italy.
