
Inflation in Russia remains all-time low since beginning of 2016

Inflation in Russia remains all-time low at 4.1% from the beginning of 2016, the Ministry of Economic Development said on Monday.
"Inflation stays at as low level from the beginning of the year - 4.1%, the all-time low in current Russian history. Inflation is declining from July over year to 6.4% in September," the ministry said.
The ministry also reported that Russia’s GDP contraction amounted to 0.7% in 9 months of 2016 in annual terms.
In September 2016, Russia’s GDP decreased by 0.7% in annual terms.
Seasonally adjusted GDP was down by 0.2% in September, the report said.
