Kazakh wheat arrives to Turkey by new railway

The first cargo from Kazakhstan was delivered to Turkish Mersin through the new Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway (BTK). The train supplied 30 containers with 600 tons of wheat to Mersin. The train overcame a distance in 1258 kilometers from Kars to Mersin in 30 hours. Let us note that a new line, 826 km long, connects Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Mersin is located on the southeast coast of Turkey (Mersinsky Bay). The city is one of the most important ports of Turkey - more than 23 piers and docks form an area of 786 thousand square meters with a capacity of more than 3.8 thousand vessels. The sea gate connects Mersin with more than 100 international ports.
