Kazakhstan. “Astyk Trans” JSC lowers cost of grain carriers to Iran by 10%


So as to increase cargo traffic and realize Kazakh grain export potential, starting from October, 17 “Astyk Trans” JSC decided to lower cost of grain carriers lease by 10% in the destination of Iran (via railroad Uzen - Gorgan, as well as via border pass Sarakhs) for all customers, reports UkrAgroConsult.  Iran, which is the largest buyer of Kazakh grain, has over 60% in the market sales structure of all Prodcorporation`s export shipments. In the last years corporation acquired tight relationships with Iranian partners, due to which grain shipments in this destination remain high compared to the other importing countries.

Trade is favored by availability of own grain terminals in the Caspian Sea: in Aktau port and in Amirabad port. Moreover, in the course of exports to Iran the corporation uses alternative to marine way destination route – the new railroad with transit via Turkmenistan.
