Kazakhstan. A new safflower processing line to appear


In 2017, a new line will be installed at LLC Turmagambet, Karmakshy district, Kyzylorda region. It will be the only of the kind in the district. The production facilities will supposedly operate on feedstock from the local harvest, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Although safflower planted acreage has shrunk over the recent years, this crop represents more than 10% of Kazakhstan’s oilseed plantings and is the third most popular among growers. So, 226 Th ha was sown with safflower for the 2016/17 harvest (11% of the total planted area of oilseeds).
