Kazakhstan. Aktau port increases handling capacity by 3 MMT per year


Aktau international sea trade port (Kazakhstan) put into operation terminal facilities in the framework of the project for expansion in northern direction. As a result, port’s capacity was increased by 3 MMT per year - from 16.5 MMT to 19.5 MMT. Port's management said that the new terminal construction for handling of dry and general cargo provides diversification of traditional cargo base of the port, reports UkrAgroConsult.

Aktau port (Kazakhstan) is located on the eastern coast of the Caspian Sea. This port is the only seaport of the republic, intended for international transport of various dry cargoes, crude oil and petroleum products.
