Kazakhstan and China signed contracts for supplying grains and oilseeds


Kazakhstan and China will establish an exemplary area of agricultural cooperation, the Kazakh vice ag minister announced at a Kazakh-Chinese agricultural investment forum.

A Memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ag Ministries of Kazakhstan and China to establish an exemplary area of agricultural cooperation. This will facilitate the set-up of joint processing facilities.

Overall, seven documents to a total value of USD 160 Ml were signed in the course of the forum, including a contract with the Food Contract Corporation for supplying 200 KMT of grains and 100 KMT of oilseeds. Also, an agreement was signed for starting the construction of a terminal in the border zone between the countries. Consignments of the above-mentioned commodities will be formed there.
