Kazakhstan. Cereal and pulse stocks up 23% year-on-year


According to the Statistics Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, farms of all types held 18.0 MMT of cereals and pulses as of October 1, 2017, or 23.4% more than at the same time last year (14.59 MMT), reports UkrAgroConsult.

Wheat stocks are up 24.9% year-on-year at 14.67 MMT, including 13.1 MMT of milling wheat, 0.73 MMT of feed wheat and 0.84 MMT of seed wheat.

Barley stocks totaled 2.24 MMT as of the reporting date, or 12.4% more than last year. Also, the grain availabilities included, 71.4 KMT of corn, 274.8 KMT of rice, 31.6 KMT of rye, 222.5 KMT of oats, 50.7 KMT of buckwheat and 24.4 KMT of millet.
