Kazakhstan continued stepping up wheat bran exports in 2016/17


As UkrAgroConsult forecasted, Kazakh wheat bran exports did exceed 180 KMT in 2015/16: they totaled 181.6 KMT, or up 31.6% from MY 2014/15.

In the beginning of the new season 2016/17, Kazakh exporters continued stepping up wheat bran deliveries to foreign markets. So, Kazakhstan exported as much as 43.4 KMT of wheat bran for the first two months of the season (September-October 2016) that is up 39.5% year-on-year.

Uzbekistan is still the top importer of Kazakh wheat bran with an export share of 87% in that period of time. It is followed by Turkey with over 9%.

Deliveries of Kazakh wheat bran to China were resumed in October. In addition, exporters started shipments to Tajikistan’s market.

UkrAgroConsult forecasts further expansion of Kazakh wheat bran exports in 2016/17 along with exports of flour.
